What is NAID?
The NAID AAA Certification Program is a voluntary program for NAID member companies providing information destruction services. In short, it is the standards setting body for the hard drive & information destruction industry.
How To Get NAID Certified?
Achieving NAID Certification is no small task, but COPS believes in going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. We want to guarantee confidential shredding services, and our NAID certified paper shredding services are testament to that. The NAID AAA Certification is voluntary, and includes companies that offer destruction services for mobile and/or plant-based operations, and includes paper or printed media, micromedia, computer hard drive destruction, and/or computer hard drive sanitization.
This certification and audit process helps companies meet numerous laws and regulations requiring protection of confidential customer information, including HIPAA, FACTA, and PCI compliance.
Employees of these companies are put through an extensive, three-level background screening process to verify that no individual with a known history of related crimes will be handling confidential material. Companies offering NAID certified paper shredding offer an extra layer of security and confidentiality.
